Winter Equinox

After nine years, the Lumina and I have parted ways. Traded her in on a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LS (as seen in the accompanying pictures). We were needing a new car. The Lumina was showing her age (14) and miles (150,000+), was failing the state emissions test, and repairs were costing more than her resale value. Plus we have two children (with an optional third to be traded at a later date) so the coupe wasn't cutting it.

Ashli did a lot of the legwork getting us this Equinox, so special kudos to her. It was a long arduous process to be sure, and thinking about it all makes me very tired. You're spared the details. But we got a good deal and are happy with the Equinox.

Next I've got to set about protecting her. Just bought the heavy duty rubberized floor mats from the Chevy dealer. Now I'm saving for the seat covers.
